About Me

My photo
I am a Homemaker and Freight Broker (with my husband) who has a love of needle crafts, sewing, crochet, cross-stitch. I learned to sew in 2007, really love using vintage patterns (1940's, 50's, 60's) & and seeing how I can modernize them with fabric choices and trims). I need 25 hours in a day to get to everything I want to do!

This was a top for the oldest, M5562, cut to top length in size 8 for her. She was self-conscious about wearing ties, so I had a bright idea to insert elastic into the tops of the bodice, make diaper cover and have a cute sunsuit for the baby. Worked like a charm, good pattern...

Now the oldest wants her top back... I told her there is plenty of the same fabric to make a different top for her that would be easier to wear, maybe her TNT top...

Also listed it for sale as I have enough (I think) to make another set. My baby wears about 18 mos, but it looks like it could adjust from about 18 mos to 3T. I also have a cute citrus print.

I am thinking of making something like this for my little girl this summer. Very good thinking on the refashion!
