About Me

My photo
I am a Homemaker and Freight Broker (with my husband) who has a love of needle crafts, sewing, crochet, cross-stitch. I learned to sew in 2007, really love using vintage patterns (1940's, 50's, 60's) & and seeing how I can modernize them with fabric choices and trims). I need 25 hours in a day to get to everything I want to do!

New Ideas

Went to the big Walmart today, a find of 3.375 yds of Fuji Afternoon (?). At $2.00 yd. That was cool. It has small scattered dogwood-like flowers on a mocha background. Have just the vintage pattern in mind, too. Maybe that's next up, since my inspiration needs to be restarted. I have done a little refashioning for the baby, put together kid's shorts, and worked to the dresden plate quilt. I am about 3/4 done, too. It has only taken 7 months, good thing B is not in a hurry and hasn't had the time to quilt it anyways.

It's so funny that you're talking about refashioning. It seems to be on our minds, because I did that too recently, and I'm all over it now lol. It's pretty cool, isn't it? :):):)
