About Me

My photo
I am a Homemaker and Freight Broker (with my husband) who has a love of needle crafts, sewing, crochet, cross-stitch. I learned to sew in 2007, really love using vintage patterns (1940's, 50's, 60's) & and seeing how I can modernize them with fabric choices and trims). I need 25 hours in a day to get to everything I want to do!

A postscript

We got new mattresses this week and they are tall. I bought new sheets, too big (deep), so Mike went to return them and while there, to buy the buttons I forgot for the baby's dress, 3/8" shank buttons in white. Imagine explaining this to my husband, who has no knowledge of sewing, or wants to. I wrote it down, and he brought me the right ones, the only ones they had, so I am impressed. By the way, the new mattresses are great, but now our bed is so high, I have to climb up using the side rail (yes, I am short!). My daughter said I need a bench. Oh, what a sense of humor they have!

Myra .- remember mattresses so high that we had in my home village when we were kids. They were stuffed with wool from sheep and we needed to rise from a chair to sleep ..... greetings, Paco

Myra.- recuerdo los colchones tan altos que teníamos en mi casa del pueblo cuando éramos niños. Estaban rellenos de lana de oveja y necesitabamos de una silla para subir a dormir..... saludos, Paco
